Quintet, and have been intrigued by the recent announcement of the upcoming online-but-not-MMO computer game Neverwinter … you might say I was a ready-made target for the new book Gauntlgrym: Neverwinter Book I. Was there purpose to the change or was it happenstance? With the arrival today of the third book in the Neverwinter Saga, Charon's Claw, I got the chance to have the ever-popular author R.A. It is everything that the Ghost King should have been, but was not. I just finished reading Gauntlgrym last night (at about 2 am, let the record show), and I have a good deal to say about this book. As you may know, he is one of my favorite authors and I Geeks Of Doom: Charon's Claw has a completely different tempo than Gauntlgrym and Neverwinter, it felt like some of the earlier books as far as the flow and rhythm of your writing. Gauntlgrym almost entirely makes up for the sheer disaster that was Salvatore's last entry in the Drizzt saga, The Ghost King. However, if you're going to read it, I suggest you start with the first book in the Neverwinter Saga: Gauntlgrym. GS: We also understand that the game is being launched in tandem with Gauntlgrym, the first book in an all-new Neverwinter novel trilogy by author R.A. The Neverwinter Saga continues this October with the release of R.A. Salvatore's Neverwinter, Book II. I honestly could not recommend this book enough. Salvatore answer a few questions. Once I finish Neverwinter, I will be posting a review of it as well. Book one in Salvatore's Neverwinter trilogy, Gauntlgrym, will be released on 5th October this year, and "lays the groundwork for the Neverwinter storyline".
